Baseball Recap: Wilcox Takes Down Capuchino in a Playoff Battle

Wilcox had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Capuchino Mustangs on Wednesday as they made off with an 8-2 victory. The Chargers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mustangs, too.

Wilcox has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 21-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Capuchino, their loss dropped their record down to 18-11.

Looking ahead, Wilcox will challenge Hollister on Friday. The Haybalers will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Chargers surely won't give up without a fight. Capuchino does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
