Volleyball Recap: Newport Comes Up Short

Newport lost against Cascade back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cubs fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 3-2. The Cubs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Newport's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Cascade, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Newport is set to face off against their familiar foe Philomath at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Cascade will square off against rival Sweet Home at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
