Warner proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 19) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 20-19 win over the Calipatria Hornets. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 22-21 on April 14th.

Warner's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-5. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for Calipatria, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-11.

Coming up, Warner will be playing in front of their home fans against Borrego Springs at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.56 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Calipatria, they will head out on the road to take on Julian at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
