Baseball Recap: Green Valley Finds Home Field Redemption Against Carson

There's no place like home for Green Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past the Carson Senators 13-3 on Wednesday. The Gators might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six runs or more this season.

Maddix Kaye looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Caden Kirby was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. He has become a key player for Green Valley: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylon Murphy, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one double.

Green Valley's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-5. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Carson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.

Green Valley didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-3 loss against Faith Lutheran on the 25th. As for Carson, they have also already played their next contest, a 15-0 defeat against Reno on the 25th.
