Beaumont had won seven straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they bumped up to 3-0 to make it eight. They really took it to the Summit SkyHawks for the full four quarters, racking up a 41-14 win. Fans of the Cougars have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Braedon Miller had a dynamite game, picking up 118 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Beaumont didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Summit to a completion percentage of just 40%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from three players: Adam Palalay, Tyler Dyer, and Bryan Shatswell, who each logged one passes deflected. Beaumont wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 55%.

Having lost for the first time this season, Summit fell to 2-1. The loss continues a trend for them in their meetings with Beaumont: they've now lost five in a row.

Although Summit took the loss, they still got scores from Francisco Hernandez and Marcus Cazares.
