Flag Football Recap: King's Academy Comes Up Short

If King's Academy was feeling good fresh off their 28-7 takedown of Notre Dame last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights took a hard 14-0 fall against the Regents on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Regents this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-0 back in September.

Mia Bennette threw for 72 yards on nine of 24 attempts. Cailee Morrison was her top target, picking up 33 receiving yards.

King's Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Notre Dame, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-2-1 record this season.

King's Academy will take on Pinewood at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Notre Dame, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 20-0 victory against Mercy on the 15th.
