Baseball Recap: Bakersfield Christian Has No Trouble Against Bakersfield

Bakersfield Christian was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Bakersfield on Monday. The Eagles blew past the Drillers 11-4. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Drillers: they've now won nine in a row.

Kadyn Kirkley and London Anderson did most of the damage at the plate: Kirkley went 3-for-4 with three RBI and two runs, while Anderson went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most runs Anderson has posted since back in March. Maddox Garza was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Bakersfield Christian's victory bumped their record up to 12-6-1. As for Bakersfield, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17-1.

Bakersfield Christian will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Drillers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
