Basketball Game Preview: Salisbury Hornets vs. Queen City Prep Kings

The Salisbury Hornets will challenge the Queen City Prep Kings at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Salisbury has 12 straight wins, Queen City Prep has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Saturday, it was close, but Salisbury sidestepped Dudley for a 68-66 victory.

Meanwhile, Queen City Prep suffered their biggest defeat since November 15, 2024 on Saturday. They lost 92-72 to Bull City Prep National. While losing is never fun, the Kings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 272nd, while the Bulls are ranked 20th).

Salisbury pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their 22nd straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.6 points. As for Queen City Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.
