            Basketball Recap: Charleston Math & Science Riptide vs. Branchville Yellow Jackets        
        
		
        
        
            Charleston Math & Science extended their  winning streak to three games  thanks to a huge performance from  Zion King. The Charleston Math & Science Riptide walked away with  a   51-40  win over the Branchville Yellow Jackets  on Thursday thanks in part to  King, who  posted 15  points in addition to eight  boards and seven  steals. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's  played.

 Another player making a difference was  Ben Gilliard, who  put up ten points and seven  rebounds. Gilliard is also crushing it when it comes to  steals: he's   grabbed at least two every time he's  taken the court this season.
 Branchville lost  despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being   Marcus Felder, who  went 5 for 8  to rack up 10  points.  Daniel Jennings was another key player,  putting up six points along with six  boards and three  blocks.
Charleston Math & Science's victory bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Branchville,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 6-11.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Charleston Math & Science will face off against St. John's at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Charleston Math & Science is facing St. John's at the right time seeing as St. John's is stuck on  a  17-game losing streak. As for Branchville, they will take on Palmetto Scholars Academy at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
