Piedmont Community Charter waltzed into their match  on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Greater Cabarrus S Stallions by a score of  10-5. For the Patriots, this counts as revenge for the   15-10 win the Stallions walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in April of 2024.
 Bree Phillips spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five  runs (all of which were unearned)  on five hits.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Chloe Rae Baker, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 2-for-5. She is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last three games she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Bailee Roper, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
 Piedmont Community Charter  lost a few balls and  finished the game with two  home runs. That's the most  home runs they've managed all season.
Piedmont Community Charter's victory was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 7-4. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Greater Cabarrus S, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Piedmont Community Charter will face off against Bessemer City at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Bessemer City has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.75  runs per game on average), something Piedmont Community Charter will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Greater Cabarrus S, they will challenge Charlotte Latin at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Greater Cabarrus S will need to watch out since Charlotte Latin has now posted at least ten  runs  in their last seven games.
