Centennial and Champlin Park are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Cougars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rebels at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Centennial and Maple Grove, and Maple Grove kept the tradition alive. The Cougars fell just short of the Crimson by a score of 6-5 on Tuesday. The Cougars' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Champlin Park got the win against Osseo on Tuesday by a conclusive 7-1. The Rebels haven't had any issues with the Orioles recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Champlin Park's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Centennial skirted past Champlin Park 5-4 in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Rebels have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
