Soccer Recap: Thursday's Win Is Chardon's Fifth in Last Six Outings

Chardon barely beat Brush the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Hilltoppers never let the Arcs get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory on Thursday. Considering Chardon have won seven matches by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Brush with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Luke Vucetic, Alex Monkiewicz, Will Monkiewicz, and Dylan Schneier.

Chardon is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 28 goals over those six contests. As for Brush, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chardon will host Riverside at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brush, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lincoln West at 7:00 p.m. on October 6. Brush will need to watch out since Lincoln West have now posted at least four goals every time they've taken the pitch this season.
