Soccer Game Preview: Plant vs. Blake

Plant has gone 3-0 against Blake recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Plant Panthers will be home for the holidays to greet the Blake Yellow Jackets at 6:00 p.m. Plant's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

If Blake heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Plant took over last week. Plant skirted past Bloomingdale 2-1. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Blake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Alonso an easy 8-0 victory. While losing is never fun, the Yellow Jackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 511th, while the Ravens are ranked 232nd).

Blake's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Plant, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which lines up perfectly with their 5-1-2 record this season.

Plant took their win against Blake when the teams last played back in November of 2023 by a conclusive 8-0. Will Plant repeat their success, or does Blake have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
