Baseball Recap: Germantown Takes a Loss

Germantown fell victim to Memphis University School and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Owls, falling 10-0. The Red Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Owls apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2019.

Germantown has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. As for Memphis University School, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-12.

Looking ahead, Germantown will welcome Bluff City at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Memphis University School, they will head out on the road to challenge White Station at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Owls' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season.
