Baseball Recap: Arroyo Valley Makes It Four in a Row at Home

Arroyo Valley proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by 12) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Rim of the World Fighting Scots 7-6. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Fighting Scots recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Carlos Perez was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jorge Reyes, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Arroyo Valley's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Rim of the World, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.

Arroyo Valley will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Fighting Scots: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
