Softball Recap: East Davidson Gets the Win

East Davidson's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They never let the South Davidson Wildcats get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Golden Eagles in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won six in a row.

Kyleigh Hedrick made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over four innings pitched. Hedrick was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other batting news, East Davidson let Kenzi Cribb and Addie Vaughan run wild. Cribb went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Vaughan went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Emery Hill, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

East Davidson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .586. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Davidson only posted an OBP of .214.

East Davidson's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for South Davidson, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
