Softball Recap: Reed Comes Up Short

After flying high against McQueen last Thursday, Reed came back down to earth. The Reed Raiders fell 12-9 to the Douglas Tigers on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Raiders of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Tiare Kanae was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Breanna Staats was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-3.

Reed's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

While they had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
