Soccer Recap: Hardin-Jefferson Victorious

Hardin-Jefferson's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns a 1-0 shutout. Hugo Lezama had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Hawks.

Hardin-Jefferson's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Hamshire-Fannett, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Hardin-Jefferson will square off against Liberty at 2:25 p.m. on Saturday. Hardin-Jefferson's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for Hamshire-Fannett, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Hargrave at 5:00 p.m. on February 7th.
