Basketball Recap: KIPP P Takes a Loss

KIPP P was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 65-10 defeat at the hands of the Roanoke Rapids Yellowjackets. The Pride were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-5.

Shaniah Daniels went supernova for Roanoke Rapids, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 11 boards. Daniels is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Kara Baird, who went 6 of 15 en route to 13 points along with eight steals and six boards.

KIPP P's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Roanoke Rapids, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

KIPP P will venture away from home to face off against Warren County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Roanoke Rapids, they will head out to take on Northampton County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
