Basketball Game Preview: Catholic of Pointe Coupee Hornets vs. Sacred Heart Trojans

Catholic of Pointe Coupee and Sacred Heart are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2015, but not for long. The Catholic of Pointe Coupee Hornets will head out on the road to challenge the Sacred Heart Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Catholic of Pointe Coupee will be strutting in after a victory while Sacred Heart will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Tuesday, Catholic of Pointe Coupee beat St. Edmund 43-36.

Meanwhile, Sacred Heart suffered their closest loss since December 7, 2023 on Tuesday. They fell just short of North Central by a score of 49-46. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Catholic of Pointe Coupee's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-15. As for Sacred Heart, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-14.

Catholic of Pointe Coupee was taken down by Sacred Heart 77-21 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Catholic of Pointe Coupee avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
