Basketball Recap: Willmar Takes a Loss

Willmar has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took an 85-76 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brainerd Warriors on Tuesday. If the Cardinals were looking for revenge after losing 56-48 to the Warriors when the teams met back in December of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Willmar's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Brainerd, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-13.

Willmar has already played their next matchup (against Benson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Brainerd will be paying especially close attention to the Cardinals' contest: after the Cardinals face off against Benson, they'll take on Brainerd again at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
