Basketball Game Preview: Inter-City Baptist Chargers vs. Southfield Christian Eagles

The Inter-City Baptist Chargers will square off against the Southfield Christian Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Inter-City Baptist comes in on ten and Southfield Christian on nine.

Inter-City Baptist is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Oakland Christian 88-43 on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Meanwhile, Southfield Christian didn't have too much trouble with Lutheran Northwest on Friday as they won 55-36. The Eagles pushed the score to 45-24 by the end of the third, a deficit the Crusaders cut but never quite recovered from.

Inter-City Baptist pushed their record up to 12-1 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Southfield Christian, their win bumped their record up to 11-1.

Inter-City Baptist didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Southfield Christian when the teams last played back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 54-49 victory. Will Inter-City Baptist repeat their success, or does Southfield Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
