Soccer Game Preview: Palmdale vs. Knight

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Palmdale challenge the Knight at 4:30 p.m. on Friday... Palmdale is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3 goals per game this season.

Knight will be up against a hot Palmdale squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Palmdale came out on top against Quartz Hill by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 180th, while the Royals are ranked 631st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Miguel Vela and Daniel Perraza scored all three of Palmdale's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Meanwhile, Knight has been on a difficult stretch since their win on December 28. They fell 3-1 to Highland on Wednesday.

Knight's loss dropped their record down to 7-5-4. As for Palmdale, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3-1.

Palmdale came up short against Knight in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 4-2. Can Palmdale avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
