Baseball Recap: Charles City Comes Up Short

Charles City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Crestwood Cadets. Unfortunately, that's the first time they've come up short against the Cadets this season, with their most recent loss being a 9-3 defeat on Tuesday.

Charles City's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Crestwood, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Cadets beat Charles City by a score of 9-3 later that day.
