Baseball Recap: Redington Triumphs

Redington's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Monroe Catholic Rams 10-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Huskies have posted since May 10, 2025.

The team relied heavily on Ikaia Flores, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Cayden Ingraham was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Redington's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Monroe Catholic, their record now sits at 0-4-1.

Coming up, Redington will host Homer at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Huskies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mariners have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season. As for Monroe Catholic, they are taking a road trip to take on Palmer at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
