Recap: Norcross Blue Devils vs. Meadowcreek Mustangs
The Norcross Blue Devils had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.6 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 48-0 win over Meadowcreek. Given Norcross' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 17th, while Meadowcreek is ranked 290th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Among those leading the charge was Arrington (aj) Watkins, who rushed for 144 yards. Watkins' longest rush was for an incredible 85 yards.
Norcross' victory was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.0 points per game. As for Meadowcreek, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
Norcross will be playing at home against Peachtree Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Peachtree Ridge is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Meadowcreek, they will head out on the road to face off against Duluth at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
