For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Elgin and Leyden meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Saturday. The Maroons fell 2-0 to the Eagles. The Maroons have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-21.

Elgin's defeat dropped their record down to 6-23. As for Leyden, they pushed their record up to 8-21 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.
