Baseball Recap: Moorestown Takes a Loss

Moorestown had lost three straight on the road, but on Saturday they dropped their record down to 8-8 to make it four. They fell just short of the Cinnaminson Pirates by a score of 3-2. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

As for Cinnaminson, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 13-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted against Moorestown since May 10, 2018.

For Cinnaminson's part, Anthony Alessandroni spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on six hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Luke Rittler, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
