Soccer Recap: Millennium Has No Trouble Against Sunnyslope

Millennium's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They put the hurt on the Sunnyslope Vikings with a sharp 4-1 victory. Considering the Tigers' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

They hit Sunnyslope with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Eisley Raxter (2), Lorelai Mcdaniel, and Victoria Hern?ndez.

Millennium's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9. As for Sunnyslope, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Millennium and Sunnyslope could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings. Millennium (ranked 76th) will meet Xavier College Prep (ranked third) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Millennium is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. Similarly, Sunnyslope will take on Desert Vista at 6:00 p.m. on Friday down 76 places (87 vs. 11).
