Basketball Recap: Paton-Churdan Comes Up Short

Paton-Churdan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were dealt a 52-21 defeat at the hands of the Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 336th, while the Crusaders are ranked 99th).

Paton-Churdan's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Coon Rapids-Bayard, their victory bumped their record up to 13-3.

Paton-Churdan has already played their next match (against Exira-EHK), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Coon Rapids-Bayard wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 51-48 win against Woodbine on the 4th.
