Basketball Recap: Stonewall Skates Past Maud with Ease

There's no place like home for Stonewall, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat the Maud Tigers 82-39. Given the Longhorns' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 155th, while the Tigers are ranked 441st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Stonewall's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.4 points per game. As for Maud, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.

Stonewall will head out to face off against Latta at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Stonewall is facing Latta at the right time seeing as Latta is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Maud has already played their next contest, a 59-41 win against Konawa on the 28th.
