Basketball Recap: Bellevue West Beats Lee's Summit West for Their Fourth Straight Win

Bellevue West waltzed into their match on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Lee's Summit West Titans by a score of 55-43.

Bellevue West was led to victory by Yirah Sears and Stevie Harley. Sears went 7 for 14 on her way to 18 points in addition to seven boards and five assists, while Harley dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Sears a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Jaycee Woodard, who posted nine points.

Bellevue West smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Bellevue West's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-6. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 22 points. As for Lee's Summit West, their loss dropped their record down to 11-5.
