Baseball Recap: Point Pleasant Boro's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

Point Pleasant Boro had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They skirted past the Central Regional Golden Eagles 8-6. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Golden Eagles on Wednesday, they had to take a 4-2 defeat.

Aidan Dombrowsky was excellent, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Matt Lokerson, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Point Pleasant Boro was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Point Pleasant Boro's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Central Regional, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-8 record.

Looking ahead, Point Pleasant Boro will take on Ocean City on Tuesday. As for Central Regional, they will square off against Holmdel on Saturday. The Hornets will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Golden Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
