Football Recap: Callisburg Starts Season with Win at Home + How To Watch

Callisburg gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Bowie Jackrabbits 29-27. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 16-14 loss the last time these two teams met.

When it comes to explaining why Bowie lost, don't look at Rayder Mann. Despite the final result, he rushed for 104 yards and two TDs on only 12 carries, and also threw for 230 yards and a pair of touchdowns. 85 of those passing yards were hauled in by Tyler Richey, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Coming up, Callisburg will head out to challenge Pilot Point at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bowie, they will face off against Bridgeport at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
