If Cistercian wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Trinity Valley, they should've done a better job of containing Caden Tolbert. The Trojans really took it to the Hawks for the full four quarters, racking up a 40-8 victory thanks in part to Tolbert, who threw for 363 yards and two touchdowns while completing 76% of his passes, and also rushed for 52 yards and one TD. His passing game has become a key predictor of Trinity Valley's success: the team is 4-2 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 0-3 otherwise.

Trinity Valley's leading receiver Beckham St. Peter was Tolbert's top target yet again, picking up 138 receiving yards and one score. St. Peter showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 57 yards.

The win made it two in a row for Trinity Valley and bumps their season record up to 4-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.5 points over those games. As for Cistercian, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-7.

Trinity Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cistercian, they will challenge Houston Christian at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st.
