Football Recap: Apex Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Apex fought the good fight in their overtime match against Holly Springs on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 27-21 to the Golden Hawks. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Golden Hawks recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Kyle Hulse threw for 120 yards and two TDs while completing 73.7% of his passes. John Boone was his top target, picking up 69 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Kaiden Dupree rushed for 56 yards.

Apex's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Holly Springs, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Apex didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 17-10 win against Chapel Hill on the 12th. As for Holly Springs, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 31-0 loss against Apex Friendship on the 12th.
