Xavier Wright Game Report: @ James Island

For the first time in his career, Xavier Wright tossed a passing touchdown on Monday. He threw for 124 yards and one TD on only ten passes as Gray Collegiate Academy fell to James Island 24-8. Wright's big game is all the more special as we consider it to be the best performance he's ever had.

Wright and Gray Collegiate Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Marlboro County at 7:30 p.m. on September 5. The War Eagles closed last season having struggled on the road and they will enter the game having lost six straight away games dating back to last season.
