Bennington faced Elkhorn North in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Badgers' defense stepped up to hand Wolves a 4-0 shutout. Bennington might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by three goals or more this season.

Austin Kaiser and Kade Olbrich scored all four of Bennington's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 36 goals.

The victory made it two in a row for Bennington and bumps their season record up to 13-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those two contests. As for Elkhorn North, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bennington will take on Hastings in a tournament on Wednesday. Hastings will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Bennington surely won't give up without a fight. As for Elkhorn North, they will venture away from home to square off against Norris at 7:15 p.m. on the 29th.
