Football Recap: Tabernacle Takes a Loss

Tabernacle had lost six straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-6 to make it seven. They lost 36-12 to the Russell Christian Academy Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Torches can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 25th in Alabama, while the Warriors are ranked fifth in Mississippi).

As for Russell Christian Academy, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2. Considering they have won eight matchups by more than 22 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Bo Morphis continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 55 yards, while also throwing for 36 yards and one TD. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 50 yards.

As of now, neither Tabernacle nor Russell Christian Academy have any future games scheduled.
