Recap: Williamston Hornets vs. Notre Dame Prep Fighting Irish
The Williamston Hornets were the 47-21 winner over the Notre Dame Prep Fighting Irish when they last played one another back in November of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. Williamston was dealt a 35-6 defeat at the hands of Notre Dame Prep on Friday. While losing is never fun, Williamston can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 96th, while Notre Dame Prep is ranked sixth).
Zach Cribbs punched in a rushing score. Max Mccune was his top target, picking up 97 receiving yards. On the ground, Noah Dunckel rushed for 33 yards.
Jacob Tuttle was on fire for Notre Dame Prep: he rushed for 93 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 204 yards and three touchdowns. Joey Decasas also helped out with an impressive 119 receiving yards.
Williamston's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Notre Dame Prep, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Williamston does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Notre Dame Prep will face off against Corunna at TBD on Friday. Corunna is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
