Basketball Game Preview: Renaissance Academy Knights vs. Dock Mennonite Pioneers

Renaissance Academy is 0-3 against Dock Mennonite since December of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Renaissance Academy Knights will be playing at home against the Dock Mennonite Pioneers at 7:00 p.m.

Last Wednesday, Renaissance Academy came up short against Morrisville and fell 69-59.

Meanwhile, Dock Mennonite had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They strolled past the Cougar with points to spare, taking the game 51-37. Given the Pioneers' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 147th, while the Cougar are ranked 594th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dock Mennonite pushed their record up to 15-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Renaissance Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12.

Renaissance Academy ended up a good deal behind Dock Mennonite when the teams last played back in January of 2024, losing 48-30.
