Softball Recap: West Geauga Wolverines vs. Mayfield Wildcats

West Geauga was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 11-7 to the Mayfield Wildcats. That's two games in a row now that the Wolverines have lost by exactly four runs.

Ava Borz made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Shaylynn Rogaski was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

West Geauga's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Mayfield, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Geauga will host Kirtland at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
