Football Recap: Tonasket Takes a Loss

Tonasket was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 57-8 defeat at the hands of the Cascade Kodiaks. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-8.

Despite the loss, Tonasket still got an impressive performance from Tanner Tompkins, who picked up 104 receiving yards and one TD, and also rushed for 58 yards on only six carries. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 67 yards.

Tonasket's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Cascade, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Coming up, Tonasket will take on Okanogan at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers' defense better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 34.6 points per game this season. As for Cascade, they will face off against Brewster at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bears will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Kodiaks surely won't give up without a fight.
