Volleyball Recap: Dalton Starts off Right with Win over Northwest Whitfield

Dalton had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Northwest Whitfield Bruins on Thursday. The Catamounts haven't had any issues with the Bruins recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Dalton never let Northwest Whitfield on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 28-26.

Anjalee Lemons was the offensive standout of the game as she had seven assists and three aces. Those seven assists gave her a new career-high.

Coincidentally, Dalton and Northwest Whitfield will both be playing Coahulla Creek the next time they take the court. The Catamounts will head out to face the Colts at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bruins will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
