Baseball Game Preview: Belmont Marauders vs. Burlington Red Devils

The Belmont Marauders will take on the Burlington Red Devils at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Belmont is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

On Friday, Belmont was able to grind out a solid win over Winchester, taking the game 12-8.

Meanwhile, Burlington entered their tilt with Stoneham on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over the Spartans. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Red Devils have posted against the Spartans since April 12, 2022.

Burlington pushed their record up to 5-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Belmont, they now also have a winning record of 5-4.

Belmont skirted past Burlington 6-5 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Marauders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
