Basketball Game Preview: Anderson County Bearcats vs. Oldham County Colonels

The Anderson County Bearcats will venture away from home to square off against the Oldham County Colonels at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Anderson County is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.

It was a proper cat-fight when Anderson County faced off against Pendleton County on Monday. Anderson County took their game with ease, bagging a 67-39 victory over Pendleton County. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Bearcats have posted since December 30, 2024.

Oldham County fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came out on top against Christian Educational Consortium by a score of 76-64 on Tuesday.

Oldham County has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-13 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.5 points per game. As for Anderson County, their win bumped their record up to 11-8.

Anderson County might still be hurting after the 65-45 loss they got from Oldham County when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Anderson County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
