Football Recap: Branford Piles Up the Points Against East Catholic

Branford put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They really took it to the East Catholic Eagles for the full four quarters, racking up a 54-14 win. Fans of the Hornets have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Rhamell Fairclough had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 118 yards and three scores while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 67 yards. Another big playmaker for Branford was Aidan Tracy, who returned a punt for a touchdown.

Branford didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited East Catholic to a completion percentage of just 38.9%. The team can thank Ryan Booth for the heroic effort on defense: he. Branford hasn't an opponent to post a completion percentage of 0.4 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Special teams was a major factor in the game for Branford, racking up 12 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Tracy, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Despite the loss, East Catholic still got an impressive performance from Joey Montalvo, who rushed for 153 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 9.0 yards per carry.
