Soccer Game Preview: Salem vs. South Atlanta

The Salem Seminoles will head out to challenge the South Atlanta Hornets at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Thursday, Salem didn't have quite enough to beat Miller Grove and fell 3-2. The Seminoles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, South Atlanta's game on Monday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Washington 4-3. The high-scoring effort was just what the Hornets needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

South Atlanta's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-6. As for Salem, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 4-4.

Everything went Salem's way against South Atlanta when the teams last played back in February, as Salem made off with a 6-1 victory. In that game, Salem amassed a halftime lead of 4-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
