Softball Recap: North's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

North came into Monday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Wiseburn- Da Vinci Wolves on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Saxons also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Isis Jones spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up 15 Ks. What's more, she gave up only zero walks, the fewest she's had over her last eight games.

At the plate, Corina Alvillar was excellent, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Athena Singer, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2.

North's record is now 5-6. As for Wiseburn- Da Vinci, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Looking ahead, North will challenge Port of Los Angeles at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Wiseburn- Da Vinci, they will face off against Hamilton at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Wiseburn- Da Vinci is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9 runs per game this season.
