Basketball Recap: Southwestern Randolph Triumphs

Southwestern Randolph lost to Chatham Charter last Friday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Southwestern Randolph Cougars escaped with a win against the Chatham Charter Knights by the margin of a single free throw, 40-39. That's two games straight that the Cougars have won by just one point.

When it comes to explaining why Chatham Charter lost, don't look at Brennan LaVelle. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 boards. LaVelle is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Gabe McKoy, who posted six points.
